Kern Residence
Semple Brown designed this home to be consistent with the scale and character of the client’s New York loft – but with the added opportunity of establishing strong connections to the landscape, which consists of Japanese Gardens, ponds, pathways, and architectural features. The client’s modern and sophisticated personalities are expressed in a horizontal format with clean modern lines, carrying the language of the exterior inside. The materials throughout include exposed integrally colored board-formed concrete, steel, glass, cedar, oak, bamboo and stucco.

Simplicity at Every Turn
Embracing an inclusive ethos, Hurley Place positions itself with the river as its focal point, inviting diverse communities and fostering economic vibrancy. The Riverfront development is comprised of two residential towers, a hotel tower, and an expansive central open space connecting to the river. This central connector is flanked by food & beverage and retail establishments and serves as both a connection to the Promenade but also a gathering space for the community.
