The new stage and canopy represent not only a striking sculptural addition to the park but also address several critical functional challenges. Accessibility has been significantly enhanced through the provision of a dedicated path to the stage for both performers and audience members, along with a separate loading path specifically designed for musicians. The design incorporates an accessible apron positioned in front of the stage that serves dual purposes - accommodating dancing or providing seating for patrons with disabilities. Beyond performance functionality, the structure offers practical value during non-concert hours by providing seating locations strategically positioned for viewing matches on the adjacent soccer field.

The distinctive geometry of the hyperbolic paraboloid roof not helps the venue to stand out on the horizon, but also consumes less footprint on the stage, since it lands on only two points of the stage – opening up sightlines and staging flexibility. The wooden interior slats of the roof provide visual warmth and shade for performers.

Simplicity at Every Turn

Embracing an inclusive ethos, Hurley Place positions itself with the river as its focal point, inviting diverse communities and fostering economic vibrancy. The Riverfront development is comprised of two residential towers, a hotel tower, and an expansive central open space connecting to the river. This central connector is flanked by food & beverage and retail establishments and serves as both a connection to the Promenade but also a gathering space for the community.
