Wazee Exchange

The historic Wazee Exchange building retained its original detailed and lovely roots, but had been compromised by alterations over the years. A series of carefully phased improvements re-established the 19th Street façade as the building entry, with a new historically appropriate storefront to create a front door access for tenants on the street level.

Improved handicap accessibility was integrated with a raised walkway. Twice as many windows were added to the Wazee street façade for improved views and daylight.

Our team worked with the structural engineers to mitigate building settlement issues and adjust floor elevations to provide a higher quality space for future tenants. The finished product is true to the historic style of the building, while introducing modern finishes and materials to present an enduring take on Denver’s roots.

Simplicity at Every Turn

Embracing an inclusive ethos, Hurley Place positions itself with the river as its focal point, inviting diverse communities and fostering economic vibrancy. The Riverfront development is comprised of two residential towers, a hotel tower, and an expansive central open space connecting to the river. This central connector is flanked by food & beverage and retail establishments and serves as both a connection to the Promenade but also a gathering space for the community.
