Kimpton San Antonio
We embraced the concept of "Dérive"—an unplanned journey of discovery—when approaching the Kimpton San Antonio competition. Nestled alongside the iconic Riverwalk, this hotel demanded a design that would weave together the rich tapestry of San Antonio's cultural narratives while creating moments of unexpected delight. The challenge lay in crafting spaces that would invite guests to wander and discover, moving seamlessly between public and private realms. By layering materials, threading together diverse influences, and creating pockets of refreshing comfort, we developed a design that encourages organic exploration while maintaining a sense of timeless belonging within its riverfront context.
Simplicity at Every Turn
Embracing an inclusive ethos, Hurley Place positions itself with the river as its focal point, inviting diverse communities and fostering economic vibrancy. The Riverfront development is comprised of two residential towers, a hotel tower, and an expansive central open space connecting to the river. This central connector is flanked by food & beverage and retail establishments and serves as both a connection to the Promenade but also a gathering space for the community.
