Belmar Shade Pavilion
Lakewood, CO
The shade pavilion is a 2,800 square foot open-air structure that establishes a connection between the Town Center and the neighborhood park. The design marries traditional park planning principles with a contemporary detailed vocabulary. This open-air pavilion’s intent is to be more of a civic ‘sculpture’ than ‘structure’. Semple Brown’s vision was to create an abstraction of the adjacent street trees and their canopies – providing passive recreation for residents.
