Hangar 2
Lowry, CO
This new neighborhood dining district sits adjacent to an historic Air Force hangar, converting an expanse of surface parking into an inviting hub of activity for the surrounding community. This mixed-use project includes two new buildings, each of which features two distinct restaurants. The restaurants are flanked by spacious patios, requisite parking and access, and integrated with the existing hangar building to create an intimately scaled, pedestrian-friendly, dining district. All modifications on the Hangar 2 site were subject to review and approval by Denver’s Landmark Preservation Commission. In 2015, Hangar 2 received an Innovation Award as part of the Urban Land Institute’s Colorado Impact Awards.
